Restoration works when the roof structure and sheets or tiles are fundamentally sound and the problems are surface level. Moss and lichen holding moisture, surface rust starting at the laps, loose fixings, cracked pointing on ridges, all of that can be fixed without stripping the roof.
It is not the right call on a roof that has rusted through, has widespread cracked tiles, or has framing problems underneath. In that case a restoration just hides the issue for a season, and we will tell you that rather than take the job.
What the process involves
We inspect the roof first and tell you what we have found. From there the roof is cleaned down, any broken tiles or failed sheets are replaced, rust is treated, ridges are rebedded and repointed where needed, and the gutters are cleared so water actually gets away.
